What the heck is a Crowler? (Coming soon: Why Fat Orange Cat is in love with the Crowler.)

Many people know all about the Crowler, but just in case you haven’t heard about them yet…

From Oskar Blues:

“A CROWLER (CAN +growler) is a 32-ounce CAN filled with fresh craft beer from the source. Yep, draft beer in a portable growler –sized CAN. It’s obb-nolocation-1the newest innovation coming from the Oskar Blues Brewery taproom and their development partner Ball Corporation, the pioneers of the American craft brew in-a-CAN movement.

As always, CANs, even big ones, are more portable and less breakable than glass, making the CROWLER a natural partner for your next beer soaked outdoor experience.”

Fat Orange Cat Crowlers are coming to a farm market near you and here at the brew barn when we re-open April 1, 2017.

  1. I hear there’s no such thing as a stupid question, sorry I thought, will you have growlers before April 1? At the market?

    • Hi Willard – we agree. Never a stupid question! We will not be selling our glass growlers at the markets, only the Crowler 32-ounce cans. When we re-open on April 1, we will be filling growlers and probably Crowlers on demand. Cheers!
